The agitating employees of the Air India have withdrawn their strike after the Delhi High Court has given directives to withdraw the strike as it is against the Section 21 and 22 of the Industrial Disputes Act. The court has also taken into consideration the fact that the strike is affecting 50% of the airline business of the country.

20,000 employees of the national carrier who are protesting against airline managements gag order. The striking staff rejected a demand from Air India to resume work. Hints are that the airline managment may resort to action. Mamata Banarjee, union railway minister informed that railways would undertake more services to compensate the air strike.
