Asianet launching its dedicated Middle East Channel from today.

Asianet, the leading Indian television channel, will launch its dedicated Middle East Channel from today.

Viewers in the Middle East can now watch new blockbuster movies and the weekend shows on Fridays, instead of having to miss them on Sundays, a press release said here.

All the programmes had been scheduled to suit the prime time, as per the Middle East time zone.

There is considerable difference in the lifestyle of Keralites in Kerala and the expatriate Keralite community in the Middle East. As the leading and trusted television channel of thousands of Malayalees in the region, we believe that the difference in outlook and aspirations must reflect in our channels programming to fully connect with our loyal audience here, said Asianet communications Ltd Managing Director K Madhavan.

Special programmes would be created for Keralites in the Middle East region, the press release said. We are also planning to establish a dedicated studio to drive our Middle East programming further, he said.
